Abraham Eapen, PsyD

Dr. Eapen earned his master’s degree in holistic psychological counseling from Bangalore University in Bangalore, India. He later completed both his master’s and doctoral degrees in clinical psychology at the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Since October 2013, he has been practicing as a licensed psychologist in Michigan. Before beginning his doctoral training, he also worked as a mental health counselor for three years in Kerala, India, where he supported individuals from diverse backgrounds.

In his clinical work, Dr. Eapen uses an integrative approach, drawing on cognitive-behavioral systems, and interpersonal frameworks. He strives to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore concerns that may be impacting their ability to live meaningful lives. Alongside teaching practical coping strategies, he offers emotional support for circumstances that may feel overwhelming or beyond one’s control. He believes that therapy is a collaborative process, and that lasting progress happens when client and therapist work together toward goals that align with each individual’s values and vision for the future.

Dr. Eapen’s clinical interests span a wide range of concerns. He frequently works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, and challenges with self-esteem. He also supports clients navigating major life transitions, including student and college-related adjustments. With a strong commitment to holistic health, he encourages clients to build coping skills that promote balance and long-term well-being.
