Connect with Others

At Synergy Behavioral Health, we believe that healing happens best in connection with others. While individual therapy offers deep personal focus, our group sessions provide a unique opportunity to realize you are not alone in your journey—because we are always Better Together.

Building Resilience: A Dual Recovery Group

An integrated therapy group for adults navigating both mental health and substance use challenges.

Mondays from 3:30-5 pm at the Synergy Behavioral Health office

$50 direct rate, insurance also accepted

This therapy group is designed for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders (dual diagnosis). The group follows a 12-week rotating curriculum, allowing new members to join as space becomes available while ensuring exposure to core recovery topics. Sessions are held once weekly for 90 minutes with a minimum of three participants.

Overall treatment goals include increasing insight into the relationship between mental health and substance use, improving emotional regulation and healthy coping skills, reducing substance use and psychiatric symptom severity, strengthening motivation for recovery, enhancing interpersonal relationships and support systems, and developing individualized relapse prevention and recovery maintenance plans. The group provides a supportive environment where participants can learn, practice new skills, and receive encouragement from peers facing similar recovery challenges.

The group utilizes an integrated, evidence-based treatment approach that combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Relapse Prevention, Psychoeducation, and Recovery-Oriented Care. Interventions focus on helping participants understand the interaction between mental health symptoms and substance use, develop effective coping and emotional regulation skills, enhance motivation for change, and build practical strategies to support long-term recovery.
