Every client receives a thorough initial assessment using validated risk assessment instruments and clinical evaluation tools. Our clinicians are trained in the administration and interpretation of standardized assessments that identify criminogenic risk factors, clinical needs, and responsivity considerations. Treatment plans are individually tailored based on assessment results and continuously monitored through regular re-assessments.
We implement programming that directly targets criminogenic needs while addressing underlying clinical issues such as mental health disorders, substance abuse, trauma history, and social skill deficits. Our interventions are grounded in research and delivered with fidelity to evidence-based models proven effective in reducing recidivism and promoting positive behavioral change.
Commitment to Outcomes
Our agency maintains rigorous quality assurance standards and continuously evaluates program effectiveness through outcome measurement and data analysis. We believe in accountability to our clients, referral sources, and the community we serve. Our evidence-based approach ensures that every intervention is purposeful, measurable, and aligned with best practices in the field.

SAFE Steps
SAFE Steps is our BISC-MI approved abuse intervention program, offered in gender-specific groups to address the unique needs of both men and women. This program is rooted in trauma-informed and evidence-based practices, focusing on accountability, empathy, and healthy relationship skills. Participants explore the impact of abusive or violent behaviors, learn to identify harmful patterns, and develop alternatives that support safety and respect in all relationships. SAFE stands for Safety and Accountability for Everyone—and these groups are designed to uphold those values.
Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT)
MRT is a nationally recognized cognitive-behavioral program shown to reduce recidivism and promote long-term change. At Synergy, we offer MRT groups for individuals with co-occurring disorders, economic crimes, or other court-related concerns. Participants work through a series of structured steps that address moral reasoning, decision-making, and personal responsibility. By progressing through the MRT model, individuals strengthen their sense of accountability and gain practical tools to make healthier choices for the future.
